Natural Ingredients for Homemade Skin Care

Skin care is an important part of any daily beauty regiment. Especially since skin covers our entire body. It is important to take care of your skin so it can protect your internal organs, regulate body temperature, heal properly, excrete toxins, and maintain elasticity. There are thousands of skin care products available, but with the demand for safer and more natural products. Skin care is leaning towards organic ingredients.

That's because it's not only what you put on your skin but what you put in your body as well that determines how your skin looks and feels. That being said the food you eat can be applied directly to the skin to achieve the same result, glowing and gorgeous skin. Ingredients such as honey, yogurt, papaya, tea (peppermint, green, chamomile), lemon, oil (lavender, rose, sandalwood, jojoba, coconut, almond, olive), sea salt, sugar, coffee, spices (nutmeg, turmeric, ginger, clove, cinnamon), strawberries, and many more can be combined and applied to the skin for smooth, glowing, beautiful skin.

Face Mask

  • 2 tbsp organic Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp organic honey
  • 1 tsp sweet almond oil

Combine all ingredients into a paste. Apply generous layer to the face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. 
Body Scrub
  • 1/4 raw sugar
  • 1/4 cup ground coffee
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
Blend all ingredients together Massage all over body in an upward motion before rinsing off.
Foot  Scrub
  • 4 Strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 drops peppermint oil
Mash strawberries then add sugar, olive oil and vegetable oil. Mix until well blended. Add peppermint oil 2 drops at a time.
